Daybreak Films was recently approached to film a music video for artist Emma Donovan. A Gumbayngirr woman from Northern NSW, Emma's soulful song 'Changes' has, we hope, been captured in this clip filmed on and around the Gumbayngirr lands and community near Nambucca Heads.

Backstage

Backstage, a 45 minute documentary directed by friend and colleague Pierre Toussaint with editing and post production by Rhys Graham and Daybreak Films, will be screening this month on Foxtel. The documentary, shot by frequent Daybreak collaborator Stefan Duscio and with an original score by Flynn Wheeler, follows Australian designer Alice McCall as she prepares to show her collection at New York Fashion week. Skin awarded Gold ACS for Cinematography

Congratulations to Katie Milwright for winning a Gold ACS Award for her cinematography in Skin, directed by Rhys Graham and produced by Tony Ayres and Michael McMahon of Big & Little Films. The awards ceremony was held on the Gold Coast on the 21st of November. Katie also received Gold awards for her incredible work on Virgina Kay''s ''Flight of the Obus Bird'' and David Rosetsky''s ''Being Cate'', a cinematic portrait of Cate Blanchett.

ADG Special Commendation to 'Audrey'

The Australian Directors Guild have announced the nominations for this year's awards. In the category of Best Music Video, ''Audrey'' directed by Rhys Graham for Melbourne band Red Ink was given a special commendation, while the main prize has been awarded to Nash Edgerton for his clip for Bob Dylan's ''Beyond Here Lies Nothing'' shot by Greig Fraser, DOP of Daybreak Films' Love This Time[[sitetree_link id=36]].
