Rhys Graham
Writer / Director

Born in Penang and raised in Canberra, Rhys Graham is a Melbourne based filmmaker and writer whose work traverses drama and documentary. He has directed a number of short films and music videos including the short drama Love This Time which screened at film festivals worldwide and received a Special Jury Mention at the 2006 Berlin Film Festival and Another Day, which won Best Music Video at the St Kilda Film Festival, 2005. His feature documentary debut, Words from the City - which he co-directed with Natasha Gadd - was nominated for five AFI Awards and his ABC commissioned short documentary Skin was awarded Best Documentary at the Worldwide Short Film Festival and has screened at IDFA, Tribeca and numerous other festivals.
Rhys has worked across a number of moving image forms. His film installations have been exhibited in Art Gallery of New South Wales, Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Gertrude Contemporary Art Space and the Asia Pacific Triennial, and he is co-author of the book Short Site: Recent Australian Short Film published by ACMI Press.
Rhys is in development as writer & director on the Film Victoria & AFC Indivision supported feature film Galore with Bankside Films attached as International Sales Agent.
