Commissioned by the new National Portrait Gallery and ABC TV, the My Favourite Australian exhibition combined the popular votes of the Australian public for their 30 favourite Australians with a number of commissioned artists and filmmakers. For the exhibition, Daybreak Films was invoited to create portraits of famed football player and socceroo Johnny Warren and an 'unsung hero', primary school teacher Rosa Guglielmino. The exhibition, also featuring artists Soda_Jerk, Kimberly West, Bruce Petty, Lynette Wallworth, Merilyn Fairskye, Sophie Hyde & Bryan Mason and Craig Walsh is on display in the National Portrait Gallery from 4 December 2008 - 1 March 2009. The works are viewable online at My Favourite Australian
