Daybreak Films is a Melbourne based production company committed to creating innovative film, video and moving image content for diverse audiences.

Established by directors Rhys Graham and Natasha Gadd, Daybreak Films has a broad range of experience in producing and realising film and video for distribution, broadcast and for the cultural and exhibition sector.

Recent projects include the feature length documentary Words from the City, nominated for 5 AFI Awards; short drama Love This Time, awarded a Special Mention at the Berlin Film Festival; documentary films Muscle, awarded Best Director - Documentary at the 2008 Australian Directors Guild Awards and Skin, awarded Best Documentary at the World Wide Short Film Festival.

Audrey Music Video launched

'Audrey', a new music video for Melbourne band 'Red Ink' is now circulating on ABC's Rage and Channel [V]. Directed by Rhys Graham, the clip can be seen in full here or on Red Ink's Myspace . The clip was shot by Stefan Duscio, art direction by Marty Manca and produced by Jono Hill and Natasha Gadd for Daybreak Films.

Anatomy Screenings

Anatomy, a triptych of films devised and produced by Tony Ayres and Michael McMahon of Big & Little Films, will have it's Australian broadcast premiere on ABC TV on April 14th, 2009 at 10pm. The suite of films, exploring the nexus between art and the body, is comprised of Skin directed by Rhys Graham, Muscle directed by Natasha Gadd, and Heart directed by Amy Gebhardt.
