Daybreak Films is a Melbourne based production company committed to creating independent, engaging and innovative film and moving image work.
Established by directors Rhys Graham and Natasha Gadd, Daybreak Films produces and directs film and video for distribution, broadcast and for the cultural and exhibition sector.
Projects include feature documentary film murundak - Songs of Freedom, feature length documentary Words from the City - nominated for 5 AFI Awards; short drama Love This Time, awarded a Special Mention at the Berlin Film Festival; documentary films Muscle, awarded Best Director - Documentary at the 2008 Australian Directors Guild Awards and Skin, awarded Best Documentary at the World Wide Short Film Festival. The filmmakers have also created unique film projects for the Melbourne Arts Festival, National Portrait Gallery, ACMI and Art Gallery of NSW.
